Enjoy roulette and want to play it online? Take the edge off the house edge with these tips:
1. Even money bets have the lowest house edge. They may not pay like the straight up bets, but you'll be able to play longer.
2. Avoid American roulette. European roulette has a lower house advantage due to the fact that there is a single 0 pocket, rather than a 0 and a 00. If you can, play French roulette, which has a theoretical payout of 98.65%. Always check the casinos payout percentage.
3. Avoid the five number bet. The house advantage here is 7.3%. Yes, it's a great payoff, but the odds aren't with you.
5. Set your win/lose limits.Never bet more than you can afford to lose, and don't count on your luck continuing. With limits, you don't walk away a complete loser, and you don't lose everything you've won.

Outside- any bet that is not a number bet and sits outside the inside bets on the table. These are red, black, odd, even, high, low ...
Payout- the money paid to the player. A higher payout is good since this means a lower house edge. European Roulette has a higher payout than American Roulette.
